While this is his first release as Pale, this artist is known by a variety names with a huge catalog of releases (Eidolon, Ian Lehman, Hardchrome). Here he delves into more abstract permutations, allowing dark synthscapes twist around syncopated rhythms with tense agility. The music moves, at times approaching funky, yet the listener feels as if they are standing perfectly still. Somehow, humanity is felt breathing underneath the simmering mechanized coma.
